About Us
The MetaCards Partnership is made up of organisations who all work in the field of VET with young people in a guidance/supporting capacity. All Main Partners have been involved in successful European projects in the past and have already met together in England to construct this bid. The lead Partner is Positive Steps Oldham (PSO) with the following three partners:
- Danish Partner – CV2
- German Partner – Education centre in Passau
- Partner in the Czech republic – AKLUB
Background and Role of Positive Steps
PSO is an independent sector company of 250 employees providing an integrated range of services, including: Connexions; Oldham Youth Offending Service; and Oasis, a drug and alcohol intervention service. Its mission is to enable young people across Oldham to make a successful transition into adult life and fulfil their potential. PSO has developed a range of tools to support practitioners in their work with clients and delivers many projects funded locally and nationally, as well as involvement in other European projects. In addition to the services we directly deliver, PSO also hosts the strategic management of a number of Borough-wide initiatives such as Oldham Drugs and Alcohol Action Team, the Healthy Schools Initiative and Oldham Teenage Pregnancy Partnership.
Role of Lead Organisation
Positive Steps Oldham will be the lead organisation for the project. It will fulfil the following specific roles within the project:
- Overall management of the project
- Financial management and accountability
- Quality management
- Production of MetaCard resources in three different languages (subcontracted)
- Delivery of all training and on-going support to staff from partner organisations
- Evaluation of the project (subcontracted)
- Dissemination and further publicity of the project and resources
